- Youth
The Foundation makes the following types of Grants:
- Donor Advised Grant: Donor Advised Funds make distributions based on recommendations from the donor. These grants support organizations and causes that are important to individual donors, with most of the gifts committed to a specific county or region within the state.
- Designated Grant: Each year the NCCF makes distributions from Designated Funds to benefit the non-profit organization for which each fund was established. Such endowments provide a source of perpetual support for upkeep and daily operations of the organizations.
- Scholarship Funds: The NCCF administers a variety of scholarship opportunities to aid North Carolinians seeking to further their education. For further information about scholarships, please see the Scholarships section of the website.
- Affiliate Unrestricted Grants: Competitive grants from Affiliate Unrestricted Funds are disbursed annually in 59 North Carolina counties. Grant Committees from each Community Affiliate Board select recipients from a pool of applicants. To qualify, organizations must have non-profit status and submit an application. (Please see the Grants Calendar for further information about applying for these grants.)
