Thanks to donors who feel inspired to establish scholarship funds, the North Carolina Community Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships from nearly 200 funds each year. In 2007, 235 scholarships were awarded and a total of $299,392 disbursed to students. The Foundation has awarded over $1 million in scholarships since 1988.
