Clayton's Ramona Cash receives N.C. Community Foundation award
Ramona Cash of Clayton, long-time chairperson of the Johnston County Community Foundation (JCCF), is the first recipient of the Lewis R. Holding Philanthropic Leadership Award presented by the North Carolina Community Foundation.

The award is presented to an affiliate president or board member who has demonstrated leadership resulting in exceptional stewardship and a sharing of time and talent that has provided asset growth for the affiliate.
Cash retired as president of the JCCF in December after 10 years in the position.
She also is immediate past president of the Clayton Woman's Club and is a member of the boards of directors of the local Arts Council and Council on Aging, the choir at First Baptist Church, the membership team of the First Baptist Association and Bible study and visiting prisoners at the Correctional Facility in Smithfield, working with the House of Hope and the Alpha Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, in addition to others.
In addition to a certificate, Cash received $1,000 for the Johnston County Community Foundation to be paid to a charitable fund of her choice.
She plans to designate the funds to the Hocutt-Ellington Scholarship Endowment Fund of the Clayton Woman's Club.
