Carrie Gray has joined the North Carolina Community Foundation
RALEIGH – Carrie Gray has joined the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF) as Northern Piedmont Regional Associate and Women’s Fund coordinator, according to Elizabeth C. Fentress, NCCF president.
Gray’s responsibilities include working with individuals and agencies to establish permanent endowment funds to meet their charitable giving objectives. She provides staff support to affiliate community foundation boards in: Franklin, Granville, Johnston, Person, Vance, Wake and Warren counties. She works out of the NCCF office in Raleigh.
Gray also serves as coordinator of the Women’s Fund, which is a permanent endowment with the NCCF dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in North Carolina, with an emphasis on health and education. The endowment also encourages philanthropic giving among women in the state.
Gray has more than 14 years experience in nonprofit development and program management. She received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and is vice president of membership for the Junior Woman’s Club of Raleigh.
The NCCF is a statewide community development organization created to build capacity through philanthropy. The NCCF manages more than $100 million in assets that sustain nearly 1,000 endowment funds established to provide long-term support of a broad range of charitable needs, nonprofit organizations and scholarships in more than 60
counties across the state, with an emphasis on underserved areas. The NCCF operates through a unique network of six regions designed to provide local resource allocation and community assistance.
