The Carteret Community Foundation offers the following grant and scholarship opportunities:
Volunteer of the Month Application
Each month, nonprofits in Carteret County submit a volunteer from their organization to be recognized for outstanding efforts. Applications are received on a continual basis throughout the year.
Pearl's Pantry Fund Application
The Pearl's Pantry Fund provides NEW funding to help relieve hunger and lack of access to quality prescriptions in Carteret County. Proposals for food, prescription medicines, clothing, housing, families in crisis or disaster relief will be considered. Applications may be submitted by charitable organizations serving Carteret County. Applications are received on a continual basis and funds are awarded in January and June of each year.
Charitable Giving Fund Application
The Charitable Giving Fund was established by the Foundation to respond to new programs and emerging needs in our county. Each year, the Foundation raises funds to provide grants for a broad array of charitable purposes in the areas of human services, education, health, arts, religion, civic affairs, the conservation and preservation of historical, cultural, environmental resources and general community programming that improves the wellbeing of county residents. Grant awards generally range between $500 to $5,000. Awards are competitive. Proposals must be postmarked by October 31.
Scholarship Applications
Each year, the Carteret Community Foundation administers a scholarship program to help local students pursue higher education. These scholarships have been established by generous local individuals, corporations or organizations to assist students with their educational needs. Each scholarship has its own unique criteria and we encourage applicants to read the eligibility requirements carefully before applying.
