Pamlico County Community Foundation Elects New Officers

At the July board meeting the members of the board of directors of the Pamlico County Community Foundation elected officers for the year 2007-2008.

Flora Moorman, Director of Hamner Conference Center at the NC Biotechnology Center in Raleigh has taken the office of President. A newcomer to the board, Flora comes to the position with many talents and credits and is looking forward to becoming more involved with the interests of Pamlico County.

Richard Hodges has agreed to continue his loyal service to the foundation as Vice President. Richard is known in the area for, among other things, the great work he does with the Pamlico High School students that take part in the Hodges Education Foundation LIFT I and LIFT II programs.

The office of Secretary/Treasurer has also gone to a new member of the board, Wayne Brackin of Tideland EMC. Wayne’s energy and great ideas, as well as his generosity in allowing the board to use his facilities for their board meetings are sure to be an asset to our foundation.

With the new lineup of officers and several new ambitious board members, all of whom have come to the table with some fresh ideas and new spirit, we are confident that Pamlico County Community Foundation’s service to the community will continue to grow.
