The Chowan Community Funds is pleased to be able to offer grants from the Ann L Sams Endowment for 2008. As specified in the Fund Agreement, grants will be awarded in support of historic preservation in Chowan County; to improve housing for the working poor in Chowan County; to improve education opportunities for Hispanic workers in Chowan; to support conservation/preservation in Chowan County and elsewhere in the Northeast region; to improve medical care/health facilities in Chowan County; and for general charitable needs.
The total amount available in 2008 is $2,340. Grants typically range from $500 to $1500.
