The WOMEN’S NETWORK – WOMEN GIVERS OF NORTHEAST NC, organized in 2006 to serve the counties of Camden, Gates, Pasquotank and Perquimans, is pleased to be able to offer grant(s) from its unrestricted fund during 2008. Proposals are sought that will assist in initiating projects and programs designed to address the needs of women and children in our communities in the areas of health, mentoring, economic opportunities, childcare, older adult care, education, entrepreneurship and community relations. Grants will be awarded in September and again in April. $2,500 is available in Spring, 2008.

The Northern Albemarle Community Foundation is pleased to be able to offer grants from the Northern Albemarle Community Endowment for 2008. Proposals are sought in support of broad charitable purposes in the areas of arts and humanities, education, the environment, health, human services, public and societal benefit, and youth development. Monies are available for non-profit organizations addressing these needs in Camden, Gates, Pasquotank and Perquimans Counties. The total amount available in 2008 is $1500. Grants typically range from $500 to $1500.

The Judge Thomas Watts Memorial Fund was established in 2005 by the Elizabeth City Jaycees as a permanent endowed component fund of the North Carolina Community Foundation, to support general charitable needs of Camden, Gates, Pasquotank, Perquimans and Chowan counties, as recommended by the Elizabeth City Jaycees. Interested nonprofit organizations should complete the following application and send in all required documents by the deadline date. Applications will be reviewed and awarded on an annual basis.
