2007 Grants Awarded
The Northern Albemarle Community Foundation awarded $2,960.00 in grants to local non-profit organizations in 2007. The recipients of grants from the Northern Albemarle Unrestricted Endowment were:

NC 4-H Development Fund, a total of $300 to be applied for a qualifying middle school student from Gates County to attend the Camp Challenge program this summer.
The Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast, a grant of $540 to support the Juliette program for 60 girls waiting for troop placements, to be held at the Elizabeth City Field office.
The National Council of Negro Women, Inc, Northeast Section, a grant of $600 to support the Dare to Dream Club for at risk girls in Pasquotank County
Albemarle Hopeline, a grant of $500 to help expand services to child victims of domestic violence promoting healthy behaviors and reduce impacts of abuse and neglect.
Innovative Learning Center, a grant of $420 to expand the programs to serve more at risk juveniles in Pasquotank and Perquimans counties.
Northeastern CDC, a grant of $600 to help address home ownership issues through education and counseling with a focus on serving first time home buyers, women and Hispanics.
In addition to these grants, the Foundation distributed $29,150.00 from donor-advised, designated, and scholarship funds to benefit other programs in the Northern Albemarle area.

Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast, $1,000 to provide a summer day camp program to 75 girls in Camden, Gates, Pasquotank and Perquimans Counties.
