Ashe County Community Foundation

List of Funds

The Ashe County Community Foundation was established to serve the needs of local nonprofit organizations, donors and charitable causes. The Ashe County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.

Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church & Cemetery Endowment
The Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church and Cemetery Fund was established to support the church and to maintain the cemetery in perpetuity.
 
Ruby A. Trivette Ruritan Scholarship

The Ruby A. Trivette Scholarship awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors from either an Ashe County or Watauga County high school, residing in Todd, North Carolina and/or active Todd Ruritan Club member and/or child of an active Todd Ruritan Club member.
 
Virginia S. Hunt Fund for the Care of Animals

The purpose of this fund is to support animal welfare projects in Ashe County, specifically to promote/prolong the life of animals.
 
T. Stan Holman Memorial Scholarship Endowment

The T. Stan Holman Scholarship Endowment provides support to eligible recipients who have been or are currently participating in the Ashe County Little Theatre and demonstrate the likelihood they will continue to support and participate in community theatre work in the future.
 
Daniel Lee "Dan" Eldreth Memorial Endowment

Established in 2001 by his parents, Lee and Mannon Eldreth, the Daniel Lee "Dan" Eldreth Memorial Endowment Fund makes grants with an emphasis toward educational projects and allows Dan's legacy of service to the community to continue.
 
Women in Touch Endowment

Women In Touch is a group of women reaching out to all women of Ashe County to raise awareness about the early detection of breast cancer. The Women In Touch Endowment supports their efforts of explaining the importance of mammograms and to teaching breast self-examination for early detection of lumps or any abnormality of the breast.
  
Ashe County Unrestricted
The Ashe County Unrestricted Endowment Fund enables the Ashe County Community Foundation to respond to changing community needs and to enhance the quality of community life within the county. Donors allow flexibility in how these funds are to be used, leaving the Ashe County Board of Directors to award grants each year to local nonprofit organizations.
 
Ashe County Board of Education Endowment Fund
This fund helps to provide technology and resources to the students of Ashe County School System
and to grant funds for educators to improve programs.
 
The Ashe County Children's Trust
This fund supports The Ashe County Children's Trust.
 
Ashe County Arts Council Endowment
This fund provides ongoing support for the Ashe County Arts Council.
 
Ruth Vannoy Price Scholarship Fund
Graduating seniors from Ashe County High School can benefit from the Ruth Vannoy Price Scholarship Fund for costs associated with pursuing an education at an institution of higher learning.
