Charitable organizations are invited to apply for financial support for local projects through the Wilkes Community Foundation (WCF). In its 13th year of grant making, the Foundation is pleased to have up to $10,000 to award. These grant monies are available from two funds: the WCF Unrestricted Fund and the Kyle Hayes Memorial Endowment Fund. Proposals are being accepted for philanthropic purposes in the arts, the environment, health, human services and other fields that benefit Wilkes County. The deadline for applying is Thursday, May 1, 2008.
