The Clay County Community Foundation was established to serve the needs of local nonprofit organizations, donors and charitable causes. The Clay County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.

Clay County Youth Endowment
This fund supports children's causes in Clay County.
Senior Center Fund of Clay County Endowment
This fund was created by William and Kathleen Bell for the ongoing support of the Senior Center.
Ms. Mac Memorial Scholarship Endowment
Established in tribute to Laura Ellen Jarrett McGlamery by her daughter Fannie Watson, this fund
awards scholarships to graduates of Hayesville High School who will be pursuing an undergraduate
degree in education, preferably with a math or science focus.
Licklog Players Endowment
This fund support the Licklog Community Players theatre and educational programs.
Clay County Unrestricted Endowment Fund
The Clay County Unrestricted Endowment Fund enables the Clay County Community Foundation to
respond to changing community needs and to enhance the quality of community life within the county.
Donors allow flexibility in how these funds are to be used, leaving the Clay County Board of Directors
to award grants each year to local nonprofit organizations.

Alley Children’s Fund was established at the retirement of Betty Gene Alley as Chief Juvenile Court Counselor, 30th Judicial District, for the assistance of troubled children in the seven western North Carolina counties

Carolina Mountain Trust for Children was established to make grants to organizations working to prevent problems facing the region’s children and families and to recognize individuals who have made a difference in the lives of children.
