Eastern Band of Cherokees Community Foundation

The Eastern Cherokee Community Foundation was established to serve the needs of local nonprofit organizations, donors and charitable causes. The Eastern Cherokee Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.

Drama Cemetery Association Endowment
The Drama Cemetery Association Endowment provides for the maintenance of this important and historic cemetery.
 
Hornbuckle/Bennes Scholarship Endowment

Established in memory of Vernon M. Hornbuckle and Joseph M. Bennes, this fund provides scholarships to Native American graduates of Cherokee High School through the Cherokee Boys Club, Inc.
 
Bill Taylor Scholarship Endowment

This endowment was established in honor of former council member Bill Taylor by the Tribal Casino Gaming Enterprise/Harrah's Cherokee Smokey Mountain Casino for enrolled members to pursue a business administration or business-related degree.
 
Craig Family Cemetery Endowment

This endowment provides for the maintenance and upkeep of the Craig Family Cemetery.
 
Eastern Band Fund for Financial Literacy, Children's Health or Special Issues Endowment
The purpose of this fund is to support the improvement of financial literacy among middle and high school students, the enhancement of child health programs and other charitable purposes as designated by First Citizens Bank.
 
Eastern Band of Cherokees Unrestricted Fund

The Eastern Band of Cherokees fund allows the foundation to respond to changing community needs and to enhance the lives of area residents by awarding annual grants to local nonprofit organizations.
 
George & Della Owl Endowment
Established in memory of George and Della Owl, this fund provides awards to high-achieving students pursuing a degree beyond high school who are enrolled in the Tribal Educational Program.
 
Cherokee Pay Phones Endowment

This donor-advised fund supports general charitable causes in the Cherokee Pay Phones Service Area.
 
Unto These Hills Education Fund Endowment
This endowment was created by the Cherokee Historical Society to provide scholarships and other educational opportunities for members of the Eastern Band and their children.
 
Swain County-Cherokee Reservation 4-H Foundation Endowment

This fund was established by the 4-H Foundation to provide for its long-term operating needs.
 
Bethel Cemetery Association Endowment
This fund supports the restoration and maintenance of the cemetery.
