Mission and focus
The Bertie-Hertford Women’s Fund is a program designed to maximize women’s leadership in philanthropy by engaging and educating its membership, increasing charitable contributions and strengthening communities through the impact of collective giving.
We currently focus on initiatives that address the needs of and for women and children in areas of health, education, human services in Bertie and Hertford Counties.
Membership and benefits
Members contribute a minimum of $300 annually. Annual distributions include $200 for the annual grantmaking pool; $50 for administration; $25 for the Women's Fund of Bertie-Hertford permanent endowed fund; and $25 for the Statewide Women’s Fund held by the NCCF. The Women’s Fund of Bertie-Hertford welcomes donations through sponsorships and general contributions, and members may make a higher annual donation, to be allocated to function in a proportionate manner.
All members are entitled to one vote that determines the organization/s and program/s that will receive annual funding.
