The Board of Directors of the Cary Community Foundation announces 7 grant awards from its community fund, according to Laird Hepburn, board president.

This year’s nonprofit recipients include:

  • Activate Good for their Pro Heroes program
  • Assistance League of the Triangle Area for the Operation School Bell program
  • Cary Town Band for general operating support
  • Chabad of Cary for their Friendship Circle initiative
  • Life Experiences to provide scholarships to organization recipients
  • Read and Feed for their Giving Kids an Appetite for Reading program
  • InterAct for the Lethality Assessment Program
  • Triangle Family Services for their DOSE program

Hepburn thanked the community at a recent Cary Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting that hosted the nonprofit grantees.  “These grants are essential to our community and our quality of life,” he said. “Even in a place as fortunate as Cary, needs still exist. The Cary Community Foundation is proud to support the nonprofits that are working hard to make our community a better place. Their work is extremely important to so many of our citizens.”
