The board of directors of the Cary Community Foundation is currently accepting grant requests for community projects funded from its community fund, according to Carla Liberatore, board president.

            Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Cary.  Priority will be given to projects that raise the quality of life in the Cary community. Grants typically range from $500 to $1,500.           

Applications are available online only. Visit the home page for access and instructions.  The deadline for submitting applications is August 15.

            The Cary Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.  The community fund was established to help support local charitable needs through annual grants.  In addition to Liberatore, Cary Community Foundation board members are: Sheila Ogle, Jennifer Robinson, Brad McGinnis, Worth Durgin, Tom Quinn, Howard Johnson, Debbie Fox, Michelle Muir, Deb Buck, Laird Hepburn, Bill Babb, Sarah Perkins, and Kim Bell.
