The board of advisors of the Franklin County Community Foundation announces 2014 awards from its community grantmaking fund, according to Holt Kornegay, board grants committee chair. This year’s nonprofit recipients include:
- Make a Wish Foundation for wish-granting in Franklin County,
- Prevent Blindness for their Star Pupils program,
- Care & Share Center, Inc for general operating support of their local food pantry.
Kornegay thanked the community for support of the Franklin Community Foundation. “These grants are important to our community and our quality of life,” he said. “Critical programs would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported Franklin County’s community fund.”
