The Board of Directors of the Granville County Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for three scholarships, according to Xavier Wortham, board president. The scholarships are the Thad Stem Scholarship, the Donald Patrick Darden Scholarship, and the John Anthony Little Memorial Scholarship. The Stem scholarship is for any Granville County high school senior; the Darden scholarship is a statewide scholarship; and the Little scholarship is for Webb High School seniors only.
Scholarships are available for students meeting various eligibility requirements detailed on www.nccommunityfoundation.org, where applications also can be downloaded. Applications also may be available by writing to the Granville County Community Foundation at 4601 Six Forks Road, Suite 524, Raleigh, NC, 27609, Attn: Jeanne Lawson. The deadline for any of the three scholarships is April 25, 2012.
