The board of advisors of the Lee County Community Foundation announces more than $10,000 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.

This year’s nonprofit recipients include:

  • $1,000 to Apex Immigration Services, Inc. for Lee County resident immigration legal assistance
  • $2,600 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina for BGC CLAY WORKS
  • $2,500 to Christians United Outreach Center of Lee County for feeding Lee County
  • $1,000 to the Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines for the Lee County Girl Scout Leadership Experience
  • $1,000 to Harnett County Veterans Treatment Court for Combat Veterans Treatment Court
  • $2,500 to The Salvation Army of Lee County for moving from dependency to self-sufficiency

Oliver Crawley, board president, thanked the community for its support of the Lee County Community Foundation. “These grants are important to our community and our quality of life,” he said. “Critical programs would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported Lee County’s community fund.”
