The board of advisors of the Northern Albemarle Community Foundation (NACF) is currently accepting grant requests for community projects funded from its community fund and the Judge Thomas Watts Fund according to Becky Elliott, grants chair.

Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Camden, Gates, Pasquotank and Perquimans counties. 

The Women Givers of Northeast North Carolina, a program of NACF, is also accepting grant request from area nonprofits that serve the needs of women and children in the same counties.

Beginning Friday, March 6th applications will be available online only. The deadline for submitting applications is noon on April 14.  Total grantmaking from all three funds will not exceed $25,000. 

The Northern Albemarle Community Foundation was established in 2001 and is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF).  The Northern Albemarle Community Foundation provides grants to local nonprofits, administers college scholarships for county students and supports professional advisors who have clients interested in establishing endowments or designated funds for specific charitable purposes.
