The latest in our Scholar Spotlight series is Andrew Um from Andrews, NC. Andrew is a recipient of the James Albert Wood and Lee “Teddy” Nichols Award Scholarship. He is currently attending the University of North Carolina majoring in biology on the pre-med track.

Andrew comes from a rural North Carolina community and recognizes the need for attracting caring, affordable doctors to these areas. He hopes to be able to give back to those who need healthcare most.

After his undergrad he plans to attend med school and begin his mission of helping others. The NCCF congratulates Andrew and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors!
