2011 grants awarded
For the calendar year 2011, more than $34,519 in grants and scholarships have been awarded to benefit people and nonprofit organizations in Beaufort County. Of that, the Beaufort County Community Foundation has awarded more than $950 through its community grants program to local nonprofit organizations.
The grant recipient from the community grants program was the Food Bank of the Albemarle. (Beaufort did not join with Hyde County until year-end 2011.)

Of that, the Beaufort County Community Foundation has awarded more than $1,000 through its community grants program to local nonprofit organizations.
