The Carteret Community Foundation was established to serve the needs of local nonprofit organizations, donors and charitable causes. The Carteret Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.
Carteret County Unrestricted Endowment
The Carteret County Unrestricted Endowment enables the Carteret Community Foundation to respond to changing community needs and to enhance the quality of community life within the county. Donors allow flexibility in how these funds are to be used, leaving the Carteret County Board of Directors to award grants each year to local nonprofit organizations.
Carteret Charitable Gift Fund
This fund benefits general charitable purposes in Carteret County
Carteret Community Disaster Relief Fund
This endowment was established to provide disaster relief funds for residents of Carteret County.
Carteret County Historical Society Endowment

Scholarships
This endowment provides scholarships for Carteret County students pursuing a degree in the construction trade or related subjects.
Edward S. Dixon Scholarship Endowment
This endowment provides college scholarships to students from Carteret County of good moral character and a high level of academic achievement.
V. J. "Puck" & Pearl O'Neal Scholarship Fund
This endowment provides scholarships for graduating seniors from Carteret County interested in pursuing a degree in Marine Sciences or Christian Ministries.
William E. Smith Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships for graduating seniors from Carteret County whose families derive the majority of their income from the commercial fishing industry.
Joseph H. Tallman Scholarships in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
This fund gives renewable scholarships to Carteret county students pursuing a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Joe Boy Willis Scholarship Fund
This fund grants scholarships to students graduating from East Carteret High School based on
academic merit, sports participation and financial need.
Carteret County Retired School Personnel Scholarship Endowment
This fund provides scholarships for students from Carteret County public high schools who are pursuing a degree in education.
Geraldine Mayo Beveridge Scholarship Endowment
This fund provides scholarships for students from Carteret County public high schools who are pursuing a degree in vocational education.
