NCCF is pleased to report that we again received Charity Navigator's top four-star rating. The most recent top ranking is the fifth consecutive time. Charity Navigator updated the way it analyzes nonprofit organizations late last year, and this is the second consecutive time NCCF has received the top rating under the new standards. Only four percent of the charities ranked nationwide have received this ranking five times in a row.
The nonprofit watch-dog began examining a more in-depth series of metrics, including financial performance; accountability and transparency; and accessibility of key information from our website. This rating service had not altered its approach to evaluations in a decade.
“In these difficult economic times, we’re thrilled to give donors more information to help them determine which charities they support are efficient and accountable,” said Ken Berger, president and CEO of Charity Navigator.
The NCCF page on Charity Navigator graphically depicts at-a-glance how we rate in these various categories.
Charity Navigator describes itself as "American's premiere independent charity evaluator."
