List of funds
The Pender County Community Foundation was established to serve the needs of local nonprofit organizations, donors and charitable causes. The Pender County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.
A. H. S. Class of 32 Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships for graduates of Pender High School residing in the Atkinson School attendance area (Caswell, Columbia, and Canetuck townships).
Frances D. Basden Endowment
This fund provides for the operation of a Christmas giving program at Westview United Methodist Church in Burgaw, NC, in memory of Frances D. Basden.
Biberstein Scholarship Endowment
This fund provides scholarships to students from Pender High School who are accepted to and choose to attend UNC Chapel Hill.
Kitty Croom Memorial Scholarship Endowment
This fund provides scholarships to eligible students from Pender High School.
Cecil Eakins Music and Church Education Fund of Shiloh Baptist Church
The purpose of this fund is to support the music and educational programs of Shiloh Baptist Church in Watha, NC.
Opal R. & Roland B. Howard Memorial Scholarship Endowment
This fund awards a scholarship to a Topsail High School graduate.
Edna R. Kellett Memorial Scholarship Endowment
This endowment provides scholarships for graduating seniors of Topsail High School.
Maple Hill Presbyterian Memorial Scholarship Endowment
This fund provides scholarships to members of the Maple Hill Presbyterian Church.
Mary L. Mills Endowment
This donor-advised fund benefits general charitable purposes.
Mustard Seed Fund
This fund supports scholarships for mission trips for students and participants from Southeastern North Carolina.
Thomas & Isabelle Pearsall Endowment
This donor-advised fund benefits general charitable purposes.
Pender County Museum Endowment
The purpose of this fund is to support the Pender County Museum and community outreach programs operated through the museum and/or historical society.
Pender County Unrestricted Endowment Fund
The Pender County Unrestricted Endowment Fund enables the Pender County Community Foundation to respond to changing community needs and to enhance the quality of community life within the county. Donors allow flexibility in how these funds are to be used, leaving the Pender County Board of Directors to award grants each year to local nonprofit organizations.
Rotary Club of Burgaw Scholarship Endowment
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to high school students from Pender County.
