Scholar Spotlight: Michaela Snavely
The NCCF administered $610,930 in direct scholarships to students last year, so we’re introducing a “Scholar Spotlight” series so you can meet some of the outstanding students who receive scholarship aid from our fund-holders.
Our first scholar is Michaela Snavely from Dunn, N.C., who is a recipient of the Dr. Henderson D. Mabe Jr. Scholarship. Michaela is a first-generation college student who graduated from Triton High School and will be going to N.C. State to study medical textile technology in the fall. Michaela has a passion for helping others and hopes to eventually translate that into a career developing new medical devices. For right now, however, she’s just excited about the challenges ahead and becoming a member of the Wolfpack. The NCCF is glad to help her on her path to success!
Scholarship recipients who would like to be featured in our Scholar Spotlight should email brief biographical information and a picture of themselves to Leslie Ann Jackson, program associate for scholarships and grantmaking.
