Gentry Sanders from Granite Falls is a recipient of the Norah Morris Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship has a unique criterion that requires equestrian involvement and, as you can see from the photo, Gentry meets the standard! She is an avid rider and has been riding horses and competing for 12 years. She attributes the work ethic and dedication learned in the arena to her success in the classroom.

Gentry is currently a freshman at UNC-Chapel Hill majoring in international studies.  She chose this major to broaden her perspective on the world and to provide opportunities to interact with many diverse cultures.

NCCF wishes Gentry, and her horse Austin, all the best!

Scholarship recipients who would like to be featured in our Scholar Spotlight should email a picture of themselves to Louis Duke.
