Sarah Bischoff is a Newport native and graduate of Croatan High School beginning college at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Bischoff is studying elementary education and hopes to continue her volunteer community work, with a focus on children.
Bischoff brings a strong background of community involvement, having served as president of the Croatan High School Interact Club, volunteer at Webb Library and tutor at Bogue Sound Elementary.
Both Bischoff’s parents are educators and her inspiration to enter the teaching profession.
Bischoff begins studies this fall with help from the Carteret County Retired School Personnel Scholarship Endowment, a fund that provides scholarships to Carteret County public high school students who are pursuing a degree in education.
