The NCCF funds critical fire and rescue units across the state. Our Vance County affiliate supports this department in Epsom.
What we do and who we serve
The NCCF is the single statewide community foundation serving North Carolina and has made nearly $63 million in grants since its inception in 1988. With more than $100 million in assets, the NCCF sustains 1,000 endowments established to provide long-term support of a broad range of community needs, nonprofit organizations, institutions and scholarships. The NCCF partners with 60 affiliate foundations to provide local resource allocation and community assistance in 66 counties across the state. An important component of the NCCF’s mission is to ensure that rural philanthropy has a voice at local, regional and national levels.
As a leading charitable resource for donors, we partner with a growing number of individuals, families, businesses, corporations and nonprofit organizations to establish endowments or contribute to funds that benefit charitable causes that matter to them, to their communities and throughout North Carolina. The NCCF’s charter also allows us to hold and administer statewide funds.
Programs
In addition to helping people with giving, we also focus on implementing innovative and mutually beneficial programs to build and expand the involvement of youth, women and communities of color.
