The members of the Women’s Giving Network of Wake County announce $95,800 in local grant awards, bringing their cumulative grantmaking total to more than $1.1 million.

This year’s nonprofit recipients are:

  • $14,000 to Friends of the NC Museum of Natural Sciences for Girls in Science: Future Focus
  • $56,800 to JusticeMatters, Inc. for expanding access to legal services to protect women and children in Wake County
  • $25,000 to the Raleigh Wake Partnership to End and Prevent Homelessness for coordinated entry and assessment -- single women's pilot

Laurie Hughes, Network president, thanked the community for its support of the Women’s Giving Network of Wake County. “These grants are important to our community and our quality of life,” she said. “Critical programs would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported the Women’s Giving Network of Wake County.”
