Bio

Amy Dominello Braun serves as NCCF's Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, working with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement NCCF’s marketing & communications strategy.

Amy joined NCCF in 2021. Throughout her career, she has fostered collaborative partnerships to develop strategic communications solutions. She has more than 20 years of experience in journalism, communications and marketing. Prior to joining NCCF, she served as Director of Creative and Digital Services for the NC Department of Health and Human Services. There she led efforts to ensure North Carolinians had easy-to-understand and accurate information about COVID-19 on the web, social media and through outreach efforts like the state’s 3 Ws (Wear, Wait, Wash) and vaccination campaigns.

Amy has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland. She started her career in newspapers and has a passion for telling stories that drive impact. She spent 12 years as a journalist, including at the (Greensboro) News & Record and the Triad Business Journal, before working in digital communications and content marketing.

Amy lives with her husband and daughter in Cary, where they spend a lot of time on the greenways walking their overly friendly dog. Amy also volunteers as a co-leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop.
