Bio

Amy Dominello Braun serves as the Senior Communications & Marketing Officer, working with internal and external stakeholders to form and implement NCCF’s communications and marketing strategy.

Amy has a reputation for collaboratively partnering to develop strategic communications solutions. She has more than 20 years of experience in journalism, communications and marketing. Most recently, she served as Director of Creative and Digital Services for the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). There she led efforts to ensure North Carolinians had easy-to-understand and accurate information about COVID-19 on the web, social media and through outreach efforts like the state’s 3 Ws campaign (Wear, Wait, Wash).

Amy has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland. She started her career in newspapers and has a passion for telling stories that drive impact. She spent 12 years as a journalist, including at the (Greensboro) News & Record and the Triad Business Journal, before working in digital communications and content marketing.

Amy lives with her family in Cary, where they spend a lot of time on the greenways walking their overly friendly dog. Amy also volunteers as a Girl Scout troop co-leader for her young daughter’s troop.
