Kathryn Roebuck Holding, J.D.

Director of Development



Kathryn Roebuck Holding leads the statewide development team in philanthropic fund establishment and growth services, including estate and planned-giving. Kathryn is also responsible for development in the communities that make up the northern piedmont, sandhills and coastal plain north regions of the state. Her work is to identify and cultivate donors throughout the region by developing relationships with professional advisors, individuals, businesses, other foundations and nonprofit organizations, with a goal of building and growing charitable assets, primarily endowment funds. A native Elizabeth City, she received her undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005, where she was a recipient of the Morehead-Cain Scholarship. She received a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University in 2009, and practiced law in Wilmington from 2009-2014. She is a licensed attorney in the state of North Carolina. Prior to joining the Foundation, she served as the Director of Development & Communications at Alliance Medical Ministry, a Wake County non-profit healthcare provider. Kathryn lives in Raleigh with her husband Will, and daughters Grace (age 5) and Elizabeth (age 3).
