LesLeigh Tabor is a graduate of Franklin High School and a Western Carolina University student.
Tabor is pursuing a degree in elementary education and looks forward to teaching in her own classroom one day. She plans to continue her track and field career from high school as a student athlete at WCU.
Tabor chose WCU because it felt like home. She’s a mountain native who loves the campus atmosphere and felt an immediate bond with the students and faculty when visiting.
She is determined to never give up and follows in the footsteps of her father whom she lost to cancer when she was just 13. His determination through his eight-year battle with cancer continues to inspire her to persevere.
Tabor begins her college career at WCU this year thanks, in part, to the Brandon Stiwinter Memorial Scholarship.
