Jaylin Smith is a graduate of Pender High School and is attending Barton College in the fall.
At Barton College, Smith will be studying business. “Barton College has an amazing business program and a number of internships available, which will help me gain the experience necessary for a career in business,” said Smith. “The college is known for its small teacher-to-student ratio, and I can really see myself being successful at Barton.”
Smith expressed his gratitude in receiving the Johnson Nursery Scholarship Endowment. “Not having a father figure in my life has been a battle, but it has kept me motivated and working hard,” said Smith. “I am so blessed and honored to be receiving this scholarship. I will continue to work hard in college and will be praying for success along the way.”
