Tyler Stone is a graduate of New Bern High School and will attend the University of Georgia in the fall.
Stone intends to study finance and minor in a business-related field such as accounting or entrepreneurship. In the future, Stone wants to have a career in corporate financial advising or personal financial planning.
Through playing on his high school’s baseball team, Stone honed his work ethic while enhancing his determination and drive for excellence. He intends to continue bringing these character traits to his academic and personal endeavors while pursuing a college education.
Stone is a recipient of the New Bern High School Hall of Fame Scholarship. “The best way I can express my gratitude is through my actions,” he said. “I will show that I truly appreciate this blessing by continuing to be a role model in the classroom and in the community.”
