Abdur-Raqib Gant is a graduate of Edgecombe Early College High School and will be attending North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University (NC A&T) in the fall.
Gant plans to major in mechanical engineering. In attending one of the best schools for engineering, he hopes to learn as much as he can and befriend people with similar interests.
Gant, a recipient of the Mary Ferebee Howard Scholarship, wants to pursue a career that will allow him to live a comfortable lifestyle due to his experiences with homelessness in the fourth grade.
