Cary Women's Giving Network to launch second grants cycle

The Cary Women’s Giving Network will be accepting grant requests for community projects from Feb. 21 – March 18, 2014, according to Sarah Perkins, Network grants chair.

The Cary Women’s Giving Network is group of local women who have organized to support local needs in Cary through a giving circle that supports a competitive grants process. Formed in 2011 as a program of the Cary Community Foundation, the Cary Women’s Giving Network provides grants to nonprofits serving Cary under the direction of its full membership. The Cary Women’s Network and the Cary Community Foundation are affiliated with the North Carolina Community Foundation.

Applications are available online using the Cary Community Foundation drop down option as of Feb. 21. The maximum amount of funds to be awarded is $15,000. Any nonprofit that receives a grant will be asked to wait one year before reapplying. The deadline for submitting applications is March 18.

This will be the Network’s second grant cycle. Last year the Network awarded its first grants to three nonprofits that serve the people of Cary: Dorcas Ministries, The Carying Place and CORRAL Riding Academy.
