Moore Women – A Giving Circle is a program of the North Carolina Community Foundation. The Giving Circle leverages the power of collective giving through a local network that supports the community in a purposeful way. The Circle supports charitable organizations serving women, children and families in Moore County.
The Giving Circle is designed to maximize women’s leadership in philanthropy by engaging and educating its membership and increasing charitable contributions.
In 2024, the Giving Circle will give special preference to grant applications that address access to high-quality early childhood (pre-K) programs and/or projects that prepare Moore County children academically and socially for success.
Our members commit to making a $600 contribution annually. Membership cost includes:
Annual contributions are tax-deductible and may be paid via cash, stock transfer, distribution from IRA (if applicable), or grant from donor advised fund or private foundation. The giving circle also welcomes donations through sponsorships, and members may make a higher annual donation.
Grant decisions are recommended by the giving circle’s members. All members are entitled to one vote that determines the organizations and programs that will receive annual funding.

Moore Women – A Giving Circle will accept grant applications from July 19, 2024 to NOON on Aug. 20, 2024. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted, including late submissions due to technology issues.
Funds are available for qualified charitable organizations serving women and children in the local community. In 2024, the Giving Circle will give special preference to applications that address access to high-quality early childhood (pre-K) programs and/or projects that prepare Moore County children academically and socially for success.
Grants typically range from $500 to $5,000. In 2023, Moore Women – A Giving Circle awarded $30,875 in grants through this competitive process.
Moore Women – A Giving Circle is a program of the North Carolina Community Foundation. Organizations must apply for grants using NCCF’s online application system.
