Community grants available from the New Hanover County Community Foundation

The board of advisors of the New Hanover County Community Foundation is accepting grant applications from nonprofits serving needs in the local community. 

Funds are available for nonprofit organizations serving New Hanover County and will be awarded from the following funds:

  • New Hanover County Community Fund, supporting general charitable purposes
  • Suzanne and George Taylor Endowment, focusing on improving the welfare of children
  • Food Bank of Coastal Carolina Fund, focusing on food or food-related services for those in need in New Hanover, Pender, Brunswick and Columbus counties
  • 1898 Memorial Fund, supporting race relations in Wilmington
  • Lucille Murchison Marvin Fund, supporting general charitable purposes

Grants typically range from $500 – $2,500. 

Applications are available beginning March 25. Visit nccommunityfoundation.org for information about applying. The deadline for applications is April 26 at noon.

Grants are not available for regranting purposes, capital campaigns, capital improvements, out-of-state travel, or for individuals. Funds are awarded by the board of advisors of the New Hanover County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.
