{"tinyMCE_dummy":"","title":"Community grants available from the New Hanover County Community Foundation","url":"\/news\/community-grants-available-from-the-new-hanover-county-community-foundation-2022","meta":{"title":"","description":"","excludeFromSitemap":"No"},"ordinal":999,"content":"<p>The board of advisors of the <a href=\"\/communities\/southeastern\/new-hanover-county\">New Hanover County Community Foundation <\/a>is accepting grant applications from nonprofits serving needs in the local community.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>Funds are available for nonprofit organizations serving New Hanover County and will be awarded from the following funds:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>New Hanover County Community Fund, supporting general charitable purposes<\/li>\r\n<li>Suzanne and George Taylor Endowment, focusing on improving the welfare of children<\/li>\r\n<li>Food Bank of Coastal Carolina Fund, focusing on food or food-related services for those in need in New Hanover, Pender, Brunswick and Columbus counties<\/li>\r\n<li>1898 Memorial Fund, supporting race relations in Wilmington<\/li>\r\n<li>Lucille Murchison Marvin Fund, supporting general charitable purposes<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Grants typically range from $500 &ndash; $2,500.&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>Applications are available beginning March 25. The deadline for applications is April 26 at noon.<\/p>\r\n<p>Grants are not available for regranting purposes, capital campaigns, capital improvements, out-of-state travel, or for individuals.
