The project helped reduce usable foods entering landfills by gleaning excesses from local grocers, pantries and gardens and using those foods to create healthy, convenient meal options which can be stored and distributed year-round. The grant purchased a glass-front refrigerator housed at the F.A.R.M. Cafe. This unit has increased their overall storage capacity allowed the organization to distribute meals and ingredients on a donate-what-you-can basis directly from the Cafe.
