With additional funding, Columbus County Community Foundation to award more than $109,000 in grants

Charitable organizations serving Columbus County have additional opportunities for grants this spring from the Columbus County Community Foundation thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor.

An additional $25,000 will be available to organizations through the Columbus County Anonymous Fund, which supports literacy, food insecurity, human services and the alleviation of poverty. The fund now provides $100,000 in community grants through CCCF, ranging from $5,000 to $15,000. CCCF also awards more than $9,000 in grants from its community grantmaking fund. Those grants typically range from $500 to $1,000.

CCCF, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation, will award a total of more than $109,000 in grants to charitable organizations through those two funds. Applications open March 29 and close April 30 at noon. Organizations must apply for grants using NCCF’s online application system

The Columbus County Anonymous Fund is having a significant impact on CCCF and the community. In 2022, after the donor’s initial gift, CCCF’s grantmaking increased by nearly 10 times compared to 2021.

CCCF hopes to honor the generosity of this anonymous donor for years to come by investing and stewarding it, and by creating connections and collaboration between community organizations.

For more information about applying for grants from CCCF, visit our website or contact the eastern region program officer.
