Grants have historically averaged $1,000 although the board will review requests up to $5,000.<\/p>\r\n<p>Applications are available beginning Friday, March 19. <a href=\"\/communities\/northwestern\/alleghany-county\/applying-for-grants\">Visit this page for information about applying<\/a>. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, April 20 at noon.<\/p>\r\n<p>Grants are not available for regranting purposes, capital campaigns, capital improvements, out-of-state travel or for individuals.
