Community grants available from the Onslow Caring Communities Foundation

The board of advisors of the Onslow Caring Communities Foundation is accepting grant applications from nonprofits serving needs in the local community.

Funds are available for nonprofit organizations serving Onslow County and will be awarded from the following funds:

  • Community grantmaking fund, supporting broad charitable purposes
  • Onslow Youth Fund, supporting youth programs and activities
  • Dallas Fred Allen Endowment Fund, supporting organizations with services and programs benefiting animals and their humane treatment and animal welfare within Onslow County.

Grants from the first two funds typically range from $750 - $3,000, while grants from the Dallas Fred Allen Endowment Fund typically range from $5,000 to $20,000.

Applications are available beginning March 25. Visit nccommunityfoundation.org for information about applying. The deadline for applications is April 26 at noon.

Grants are not available for regranting purposes, capital campaigns, capital improvements, out-of-state travel, or for individuals. Funds are awarded by the board of advisors of the Onslow Caring Communities Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.

“Onslow County is stronger because of the nonprofits that serve our community,” said Robert Sheegog, board president. “We are honored to offer these grants to support their missions.”
