Funds for the grants came from HCCF’s community grantmaking fund.
HCCF advisory board members and representatives from each of the nonprofits gathered Wednesday morning in downtown Waynesville.
“These organizations help create a critical backstop for those in need,” said Clay Dangerfield, advisory board president of the Haywood County Community Foundation. “We’re honored to support their missions.”
HCCF is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and is led by a local volunteer advisory board. Each year, HCCF uses dollars from its endowment fund to make grants to nonprofits that help the local community.
