Michael McClanahan is a Morehead City native following in his family’s footsteps by attending his dream college, East Carolina University. With an interest in business, McClanahan hopes to obtain an MBA from East Carolina’s Business School following completion of his undergraduate studies.
For McClanahan, school has always been a place to prove his perseverance. Diagnosed with combined type ADD/ADHD at an early age, school was often a struggle. Thankfully, with help from his parents and teachers, he learned to control his behavior and improve his focus.
Now, McClanahan will apply that focus this fall to his college career, thanks to generous support from the NC Alpha Delta Kappa Student Achievement Scholarship.
