Christopher Conrad Oates Jr. is a graduate of Midway High School and will attend North Carolina State University in the fall.
Oates intends to major in Architectural Design and minor in Engineering, and he is excited to learn new techniques and ideas from professors. He recognizes this field as having an exciting future full of development as new technologies arise.
In helping improve quality of life for people across the world, Oates wants to use architectural skills to design better and stronger structures for housing, learning and entertainment.
Oates is a recipient of the Pineland College/Edwards Military Institute Scholarship. “Attending North Carolina State University and majoring in Architectural Design has been a goal of mine since I was 10 years old,” he said. “Thank you for helping me reach my goal.”
