It’s important to get the word out about grants your organization receives from NCCF funds and/or affiliate foundations. Not only does it let the community know about your organization’s great work, but it can also encourage more giving. Receiving a grant from NCCF foundations also lends credibility to your organization and its programs.
While NCCF publicizes and announces many grant awards, your organization may want to go into more detail about your funded programs. The public is interested in hearing directly from the nonprofit because you are the most knowledgeable about your programs and results.
We ask that you cite the fund name and/or affiliate foundation in publicizing and acknowledging your grant. Please also note that funds are administered by the North Carolina Community Foundation. Be sure to acknowledge the source of your grant in all publicity, exhibits, news releases, website, email, social media, other digital communications and publications.
Use one of the following language suggestions to acknowledge your grant from a fund and/or affiliate foundation:
Please provide NCCF with any pictures, videos or other content and stories from your program. NCCF may promote your program through news stories in our publications, on our website or via our social media outlets. Send photos, videos and stories to the regional director serving your community.
Pictures and videos are the most effective way for people to see the work your organization does. Please be sure all people in the photograph or video have signed a release. This is essential for minors. Click here to download a release form.
