Gavin Moore is a graduate of Morehead High School and is attending Catawba College.
Moore, a recipient of the Tommy Woods Memorial Scholarship, plans to study exercise science and continue his football career. After college, he hopes to continue his studies to become an orthopedic surgeon or chiropractor.
In high school, Moore served as captain of the football team, played basketball, baseball and ran track while maintaining honor roll status every semester. He gained an interest in the medical field while interning at a chiropractic office.
Moore also runs his own lawn care business in the spring and summer.
“I hope to use this scholarship as a way to help pay for the education that will pave the pathway for my career and better me as a person and achieve my life goals.”
