Annual grant cycle opening Feb. 20!

The Cary Women’s Giving Network will be accepting grant requests for community projects from Feb. 20 until NOON on March 17, 2015. To be eligible, organizations must be headquartered in and/or provide services to citizens of the Town of Cary. Grant projects that focus on women and children will be prioritized. 

Visit the Applying for Grants tab for information about applying online. Applications are available online only as of Feb. 20. Any nonprofit that receives a grant will be asked to wait one year before reapplying. The deadline for submitting applications is at NOON on March 17.

A Grant Seekers Workshop will be held on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, 2:30-3:30pm at Paragon Bank in Raleigh. Nonprofits can learn how to apply using an online grants process as well as tips on grant writing. Please RSVP your attendance to the workshop to kcrumpler@nccommunityfoundation.org.

The Cary Women’s Giving Network is group of local women who have organized to support local needs in Cary through a giving circle that supports a competitive grants process. Formed in 2011 as a program of the Cary Community Foundation, the Cary Women’s Giving Network provides grants to nonprofits serving Cary under the direction of its full membership. The Cary Women’s Network and the Cary Community Foundation are affiliated with the North Carolina Community Foundation.

This will be the Network’s third grant cycle. Last year the Network awarded $17,000 in grants to four nonprofits that serve people of Cary: Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, The Mariposa School for Children with Autism, BEGINNINGS and CASA (Community Alternatives for Supportive Abodes).
