Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation awards more than $3,000 in grants

The Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation has awarded $3,400 in grants to organizations supporting the local community.

The board of advisors granted:

  • $1,000 to the Albemarle Commission Senior Nutrition Program for 2023 Hyde County Meals on Wheels
  • $850 to Citizens on Southside Together for Banding Together Against Hunger
  • $700 to Hyde County Cooperative Extension for nutrition education opportunities
  • $850 to Purpose of God Annex Outreach Center for Miracle Meals

Funds for the grants came from BHCF’s community grantmaking fund.

“We are honored to support these organizations meeting critical needs in Beaufort and Hyde counties,” said Lee Brimmage, advisory board president of the Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation. “These grants are possible because of the ongoing support we have from the community.”

BHCF is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and is led by a local volunteer advisory board. Each year, BHCF uses dollars from its endowment fund(s) to make grants to nonprofits that help the local community.
