{"tinyMCE_dummy":"","title":"Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation awards more than $3,000 in grants","url":"\/news\/beaufort-hyde-community-foundation-awards-more-than-3000-in-grants","meta":{"title":"","description":"","excludeFromSitemap":"No"},"ordinal":999,"content":"<p>The <a href=\"\/communities\/northeastern\/beaufort-hyde\">Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation<\/a> has awarded $3,400 in grants to organizations supporting the local community.<\/p>\r\n<p>The board of advisors granted:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>$1,000 to the Albemarle Commission Senior Nutrition Program for 2023 Hyde County Meals on Wheels<\/li>\r\n<li>$850 to Citizens on Southside Together for Banding Together Against Hunger<\/li>\r\n<li>$700 to Hyde County Cooperative Extension for nutrition education opportunities<\/li>\r\n<li>$850 to Purpose of God Annex Outreach Center for Miracle Meals<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Funds for the grants came from BHCF&rsquo;s community grantmaking fund.<\/p>\r\n<p>&ldquo;We are honored to support these organizations meeting critical needs in Beaufort and Hyde counties,&rdquo; said Lee Brimmage, advisory board president of the Beaufort-Hyde Community Foundation. &ldquo;These grants are possible because of the ongoing support we have from the community.&rdquo;<\/p>\r\n<p>BHCF is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and is led by a local volunteer advisory board.
